This is my mother's go to spot so when we asked her where she wanted to meet up for dinner on this chilly evening she picked Pho Filet 2. I'm usually a rice guy but since it was cold, I gravitated to their specialty Pho. I wanted the pho with rare steak but the waiter talked me into getting the Dac Biet which had the rare steak plus well done flank, brisket, tendon, and tripe. I told him I didn't want tripe and he said no problem, he would take it out. But when it showed up, tripe was still in it. Despite the error, the pho was decent and for the first time I could remember, it actually contained much more than my appetite could handle. I also have to honestly say that I didn't care much for the noodles they use and I didn't like the tendon and well done flank. Wish I would have just stuck with my initial order of all rare steak since that was the best part. The service was very good but he did make a few ordering errors so be mindful of that. Ambiance was pure noodle house vibes: fast paced service, sports rocking on the TV's, and the smell of lime and basil inundating the air.

The food service at the restaurant was amazing, with prompt and efficient delivery of our orders. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always greeting us with warm smiles and making us feel welcome. Their attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile ensured that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service made for a memorable visit, and we left feeling thoroughly satisfied and eager to return.

They have a small parking lot and the rest is street parking! The staff members here are very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, too. The pho broth was delicious and so were the egg rolls. I didn't love the nem nuong because I found it to be too bland. Overall I would definitely come back to try their other dishes!

Heard so much about this place and finally made it here. Ordered to go and the food was delicious. Pho broth was rich and flavorful. Deep fried bean curd skin wrap with shrimp was crispy. Curry was less flavorful, on the more watery side. I'd be back to try more.

Great Vietnamese place that's local to me. Their portions are great, food is tasty, and scalding hot. My go to is usually in Alhambra, but this place does it just as well, and is not a 1:1 duplicate. I was very impressed by their com, it's on par with some other broken rice places in the area for a lesser price. Haven't dined in, but will continue to purchase take out.

I love Vietnamese food. I've even traveled to Vietnam years ago. I like to think I can distinguish good and bad Vietnamese food. I had this spot on my list for a minute. I was also recommended this place, by an acquaintance who is Vietnamese. He said, this is his go to spot. I know this place must be good if someone from Vietnam will recommend it to you. All the dishes were tasty and fresh. The pho was great as well. We'll be back again

Pho Filet 2 is great at making pho and very efficient at serving its customers. I've always been a fan of beef, noodles, soup, and onions, so this is my happy place. Pho Dac Biet: The broth is TLC in a bowl. It takes so much skill, finesse, and effort to transform ordinary ingredients into liquid gold. Before doing anything else, take a couple sips to understand what you're dealing with. First of all, the broth is scorching, burn the roof of your mouth, hot - which is exactly how I enjoy it. The flavor is complex and delicious. You can really taste the spices like cinnamon and anise. I like a variety of cuts of beef, so this bowl contains rare sliced filet mignon steak, sliced brisket, silky tendon, and tripe. The beef cuts are all tender. If you like beef, then you'll be glad to know there will be beef with every bite. Even at the bottom of the broth, you'll fish out lots of beef tidbits. By the way, since the broth is so hot, I moved the rare steak to the top so that it stays rare. The accompanying dish of herbs is generous with sprigs of basil, sprouts, peppers, lime, and even a culantro leaf. The hot sauce is great. It's a ridiculously tasty, fermented bean chili sauce. Dining Area: The dining room is large with two dozen tables. Many of the tables are communal, which is great for moving people in and out of the place. Payment: Just go to the counter to pay when you're done. It's cash only for orders under $20.
